Catching up!

It's funny that we created this blog last year and I'm just now updating it! Just proof that our life is crazy busy right now! I have a facebook and try to update it with pictures as much as possible, but I'm realizing that a blog would really be a unique way to document our marriage and life because you can catalog thoughts and words along with images. Therefore, I (Hollie) am really going to try and get back on top of this. It's hard because I also have a photography blog that needs to be updated constantly as well, but I will do my best to cover it all!
Now for the life update! As you can see I have the sweetest, most hard-working husband ever! He is my best friend and I am so so thankful for him! Right now he is working 40-50 hours a week as the Office Manager of his dad's growing financial advising business. Aside from working he is studying and taking tests that give him various certifications. He's finishing up studying for his last one before he starts the BIG one! Which is a a two year set of courses that certify him to become a financial planner, like his dad. The goal is that at that point they would become partners and both advise clients. I'm so proud of all his hard work. For fun, he loves to play guitar and record music. One of his goals is to make an album! He loves taking trips to the beach or any other fun places down below. We just recently went on the American Idol show and we're shown on live TV! It was so much fun! I'll have to blog about that one on its own!
As for me, I am continuing my photography business. Focusing more on portrait sessions but taking on a few weddings here and there! I'm at the point in life where I'm trying to figure out what to do! I have my AA degree and am currently deciding where and what to finish my schooling in! Part of the problem is that I like so many things that I have a hard time picking just one! I've been looking into so many different careers and just praying God would lead me the right direction! Its so confusing!! Anyways, I am very fortunate to be in a place where I can explore different options! So we'll see where I end up! For fun I love playing games with family and friends and going to the beach! I am so ready for summer! I love going to plays and want to some day join the local theater and try to get back into acting! Or maybe choir too! So many things to do in such little time!
We have two precious kittens Beesly and Buddy! They keep us entertained all the time! Since we're not planning on having kids for a few years, they are my animal babies, and I am perfectly okay with that! I love animals so much! They are so innocent and fun to play with! Even though Jake doesn't always enjoy the fur everywhere or occasional bad smell from the litter box, he loves them too! :)
He is going to be 24 this Friday and I can't believe it! Next year 25! We're getting old too fast! Haha! For his present I redecorated our 3rd bedroom for him, which was incredibly hard to do without him knowing. I'll have to do a separate blog about that one as well! But it turned out great and he loved it!
As for now, I just wanted to give a life update of where we're at right now! God is so good! And he continues to bless and carry us through the good times and the bad! We are on our second year of marriage and loving it! I will do my best to keep updating this, as well as catching up with everything that has gone on the past year of marriage and past 5 years of dating! Glad I'm starting this now, the longer I wait, the more I'll have to catch up on! So there you have it! Life is good and I am thankful!
